Kyiv attaches extreme importance to Turkey’s principled position against the backdrop of the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated this, speaking at a joint press conference with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara.
“We believe in the power of Turkish diplomacy and its understanding in Moscow,” said the Ukrainian leader.
The head of state expressed gratitude to Turkey for supporting independence and sovereignty of Ukraine.
Zelensky noted that the Ukrainian side hopes to resume the exchange of prisoners by the end of this year. He emphasized that Türkiye provides enormous support in this regard.
