Zelensky promises to consider ban on entry of Russian citizens to Ukraine

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky responded to a petition about the ban or restriction of entry into the territory of Ukraine for Russian citizens, “Ukrainian Pravda” reports.

The head of the Ukrainian state stated that the introduction of additional changes in the mode of citizens’ travel between Ukraine and the Russian Federation requires careful study and analysis of all possible development scenarios, in particular, from the point of view of security aspects and possible social consequences of innovations.

Also, the publication notes that Zelensky sent the petition to the premiere Denis Schmygalu, Secretary of the National Security Service of Alexey Danilov and the head of the SBU Ivan Bakanov, and asked to analyze the compliance of the current regime of entry into Ukraine of Russian citizens according to the needs of Ukraine and the protection of national interests.

We note that earlier the electronic petition with a request to ban or limit the entrance to the territory of Ukraine of Russian citizens on the website of the President gathered the necessary for consideration of 25 thousand votes.
