President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky provided the journalist Alexander Nevzorov and his wife Ukrainian citizenship. This was stated by adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country Anton Gerashchenko.
“Alexander Nevzorov and his wife Lydia Nevzorova, by decree of President Vladimir Zelensky, was given citizenship of Ukraine,” Gerashchenko wrote in Telegram. Earlier, the media appeared that the journalist and his wife submitted an application for Ukrainian citizenship.
Alexander Nevzorov is wanted in Russia. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against a journalist: according to investigators, he disseminated false information about the actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. In addition, the RF IC demanded an absentee arrest of Nevzorov.
