Zelensky Said Swedish Gripen Fighters Are “part Of Security Guarantees”

Ukraine expects to receive the first Swedish Gripen fighters as early as next year.

“This is an ambitious task, and it must be accomplished. Now a historic step is an agreement with Sweden on combat Gripen aircraft, and this is a good choice. We are counting on 150 such aircraft for Ukraine, and the first should appear next year,” the head of state noted.

The President also emphasized that the Gripen for Ukraine is part of the security guarantees.

“An Air Force that can protect our skies one hundred percent. And such a large-scale agreement on military aviation has not yet been achieved for Ukraine. it was. A historic achievement. We are working to fully implement it,” Zelensky added.
