Zelensky: Ukraine Will Continue To Work With United States On Provisions Of Geneva Agreements At End Of Week

The Ukrainian team with American representatives will continue to bring the points of the Geneva agreements closer to a form that will lead to the path of peace and security guarantees.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said this in a video message, which he published on the Telegram channel on Thursday, November 27.

“Our team, together with the American representatives, already this week – at the end of the week – will continue to bring the points that we have based on the results of Geneva, to a form that will lead to the road to peace and security guarantees. There will be a meeting of delegations,” Zelensky wrote in the publication that accompanied the video. Zelensky noted that the Ukrainian delegation will be well prepared and committed to substantive work.

Right now, staunch defense of positions, stubborn resistance at the front and joint work with partners for better diplomatic positions are equally important, the president drew attention. “All these are elements of one common task,” the head of state noted.

He said that contacts are constantly taking place with the American side and European partners. “I also inform our partners in other parts of the world, and I thank them for supporting our sovereignty, our state. At the same time, we are doing everything to ensure that Ukraine has sufficient defense support,” Zelensky said.

“Next week there will be important negotiations not only with our delegation, but also with me. And we are preparing solid ground for such negotiations,” he added at the end of the address.

Negotiations of US representatives, The European Union and Ukraine took place in Geneva on November 23. As a result of the meeting, Washington and Kyiv stated that they were able to bring their positions closer together on the terms of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. On October 25, the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, said that Vladimir Zelensky wants to meet with Donald Trump to finalize the agreement as soon as possible and suggested that this could happen on November 27. Next week, an American delegation is also expected to visit Moscow.

On Thursday, November 27, Ermak reported on the Telegram channel that at the end of this week the joint work of the Ukrainian and American delegations will continue to develop the result achieved in Geneva. “It is important not to lose momentum and act as quickly as possible. The key goal that we share with our partners remains unchanged – to achieve a lasting and dignified peace for Ukraine as soon as possible. As in Geneva, we are preparing for a constructive dialogue in order to achieve tangible progress in identifying concrete steps to end the war,” he noted. Ermak also thanked the American team for working without interruptions.
