Zelensky: We need an international tribunal

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke on the video before the Lithuanian Parliament on the occasion of Liberty’s Day – the 32nd anniversary of the assault by the Soviet troops of the Vilnius television tower after the proclamation of Lithuania from the USSR.

Turning to the Lithuanian parliamentarians, the President of Ukraine noted that 32 years ago, Lithuanians not only defended the building of the television center, parliament and other objects.

“You then defended your historical choice. And now we are also going to victory. To the final victory over the empire. Russia will no longer be able to dictate anything to the peoples of Europe when we end this war with a unambiguous defeat of the aggressor,” Zelensky said.

According to him, now Russia has less and less desires and desires that were at the beginning of the war, but “this is not enough.”

“We must make sure that there is never even the opportunity to dream of something like that and encroach on our freedom … The aggressor must be divided precisely on Ukrainian land, where he came, so that he would not have to fight on then the lands of other peoples of Europe, and so that Russia does not receive respite, did not have time to adapt and restore strength. This year is decisive, ”he said, adding that now in order to finally end the terror, even greater mobilization in the world.

“We need urgent solutions to expel the Russian army from our land. This applies, first of all, modern tanks, effective artillery. We need new sanctions decisions that will maintain constant and insurmountable pressure on the aggressor state and all economic subjects that ensure the continuation of aggression. And we need an international tribunal that will allow you to hold accountable to those whose evil reason has generated this crime, this war, ”Zelensky said.

The Head of State emphasized that when the Moscow revanchists facing a fair court, this will become a historical punishment for those revengeists who have tried to break Lithuania and its freedom.

He also expressed the hope that the NATO summit, which will be held in Vilnius in July, will become fateful for the entire Euro -Atlantic community.
