Zoo of Turkish Kaiseri took over 430 thousand

City Zoo Kaiseri, one of the popular areas of tourism in the central part of Turkey, accepted over 450 thousand visitors last year.

The zoo, in which about 1,600 animals are currently inhabited by 153 species, was built in 2013. This is the first place that both local and foreign tourists want to visit the city.

The largest zoo in the central part of Turkey occupies an area of ​​180 acres (18 hectares).

Director of the Zoo Kaan Erkekoglu, in an interview with an anadol correspondent, said that three groups of animal species are represented in the zoo: exotic, tropical and home.

“The zoo is equipped with summer and winter avliers. Now animals in the winter aviary, where temperature and humidity indicators are increased. Volunteers are adapted to conditions as close as possible to their natural habitat,” he said.

Erkekoglu emphasized that in the winter months, animals receive food with a special mixture rich in protein, vitamins and minerals.

“Bears do not fall into winter hibernation, because they can easily get food. That is, in the wild they do it, precisely because they cannot find food. There are no such problems, so they do not need hibernation “,- said the director of the zoo.

Especially a lot in the zoo of tropical species of birds, for which employees also create suitable temperature conditions and moisture.

Erkekoglu says that a large flow of visitors to the zoo is observed especially in spring and summer. “In summer and winter, visiting the visit vary, but we are open in winter,” he added.
