Great Britain on supply of weapons to Azerbaijan and Armenia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development of Great Britain and joint export control management updated its recommendations on the embargo for the supply of weapons to Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The amendment notes: “The supply of the listed types of military equipment to other end users, such as humanitarian, peacekeeping, research or information organizations, will not be considered falling under the embargo, unless there is a clear risk of sabotage against the armed forces, police or forces state security “.

The recommendation states that since February 1992, the OSCE demanded that all the participating countries introduce the embargo to “all the supply of weapons and ammunition forces conducting hostilities in Karabakh.” The embargo is still valid.

July 2, 2014, the United Kingdom clarified that the embargo for weapons applies to the export, provision or supply of all goods and elements from the military list of the United Kingdom (which is part of the lists of strategic export control of the United Kingdom), which can be used in the Karabakh region Azerbaijan or on the land border of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
