Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan announced extradition from Russia of two citizens of the republic accused of committing crimes at home.
“The Prosecutor General of Russia, on request of its Azerbaijani colleagues, decided to extradite citizens of Azerbaijan Gundyuz Gasanli and Elnura Shakhsuvarov (both in 1993),” the department said.
According to information, Hasanli, being a sales representative of Bolluq LTD LLC in the city of Shirvan, illegally assigned money from the sale of food from the warehouses of the LLC. “A criminal case was instituted against Hasanley under articles 179.2.3 and 179.2.4 (theft committed by a person using his official position with a cause of significant damage) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan, on October 6, 2021 he was put on the international wanted list. On March 21, 2022, Hasanli He was arrested in Moscow, ”the Prosecutor General’s Office noted.
In relation to E. Shakhsuvarov, the Police Department of the city of Sumgait opened a criminal case under article 178.3.2 (fraud with damage on a large scale) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan, it was put on the international wanted list. “On October 21, 2020, Shakhsuvarov was arrested in St. Petersburg,” the report emphasizes.
On June 24, 2022, Gasanli and Shakhsuvarov were delivered to Azerbaijan, the Prosecutor General’s Office notes.
