Seasonal flu has spread in Azerbaijan.
This was announced to reporters by the Minister of Health of Azerbaijan Teimur Musaev.
According to him, the spread of influenza is a normal phenomenon.
“We survived a long pandemic (Covid -19), the traditional exchange of viruses and bacteria was disturbed, which, in turn, periodically leads to seasonal outbreaks of the influenza,” said the minister.
Musaev noted that in order to prevent influenza in Azerbaijan, the corresponding vaccines were brought in, which are distributed to all institutions of primary health care, and family health centers while combining medical territorial divisions (Təbi̇b), urban and district clinics.
He called the elderly population for vaccination.
At the same time, the minister emphasized that the vaccines against coronavirus are ineffective against seasonal flu.
