The head of the penitentiary service of Nakhchivan was arrested by Major General of Justice Tofig Hasanov.
He was suspected of embezzlement and receiving bribes on especially large sizes with abuse of power.
Hasanov was detained in a criminal case, the investigation of which continues in the main investigative department of the State Security Service.
The petition of the investigative body to choose a preventive measure against him was sent to the Sabail District Court.
The court granted the petition and elected a preventive measure in the form of a detention for a period of 4 months in relation to Gasanov.
