In Russia, they tried to mobilize citizens of Uzbekistan. They turned to Mirziyoyev

In the Oryol region of Russia, 20 citizens of Uzbekistan were awarded the subpoenus demanding to appear at the military registration and enlistment office as part of mobilization, Fergananews reports.

According to the director of the garbage processing of Ecositi JSC Yuri Parakhin, 50 employees of the enterprise came, half of which are citizens of Uzbekistan.

“Most of the men of our enterprise … received subpoenas. A summons were also sent to citizens of friendly states. These people for participating in their threat of imprisonment in their country,” Parakhin said, urging law enforcement agencies to intervene in the situation.

The citizens of Uzbekistan who received the summons recorded a video message in which they asked for help from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The regional military registration and enlistment office refused to comment on this situation.

The Agency recalls that in the summer, the Agency for External Labor Migration (AUTM), the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation and the Prosecutor General of the Republic, warned against the war between Russia and Ukraine of Uzbekistan. They recalled Article 154 (“Mercenary”) of the Criminal Code, which provides for liability in the form of imprisonment for up to ten years.
