In an open letter published on Farsi and English on Twitter of her son, Badri Khamenei said that the regime of Rukhollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic, and Ali Hamenya, his successor, “brought nothing but suffering and oppression.”
According to the woman, the people of Iran deserve freedom and prosperity, and its uprising is legal.
“My brother does not listen to the voice of people and hears only his mercenaries. He rightfully deserves disrespectful and impudent words that speaks to the protesters. In accordance with my human duty, I brought the vote of the people to my brother Ali Khamenei many times … But after I saw that he did not listen … I broke my relationship with him.
