Pentagon: US military will not take part in hostilities in Ukraine

US military will not take part in any hostilities in Ukraine. This was stated on Friday Minister of Defense of the United States Lloyd Austin, speaking to journalists in the Pentagon, writes TASS.

“President [US Joe Biden] clearly made it clear that she did not intend to send combat parts to Ukraine for the purpose of conducting combat operations,” he said.

Austin asked if the US direct forces to the European Region because of Ukraine. “We, honestly, did not move any troops,” the head of the Pentagon replied. The chairman of the Committee of Headquarters (KNSh) of the US Armed Forces Committee, who spent together with him, confirmed his words: “I just want to repeat the words of the minister: we did not deploy any [units]. We still did not send anyone [to Europe].”

Milli also stressed that the United States has no offensive arms and permanent forces in Ukraine. “If Russia invads Ukraine, it will not pass without consequences in Ukraine there is a small number of advisers and instructors of the United States and NATO,” he argued. “The United States has no offensive arms systems in Ukraine and any permanent forces. Our role is limited.”
