“There are those who, hiding behind journalism, is engaged in a racket. These individuals are called to the prosecutor’s office.” This was stated by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev.
Noting that President Ilham Aliyev also highly appreciates media control, the Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev added that the activities of the prosecutor’s office of Azerbaijan aimed at obtaining a positive assessment in the press bodies.
The Prosecutor General also appealed to journalists, calling them to refrain from the dissemination of information for the sake of sensation: “I read almost all the information from the media. We give preference to professionalism of the media. There are those who, hiding behind journalism, is engaged in a racket. These persons are caused to the prosecutor’s office, There are appropriate measures regarding them. In the media there should be no information aimed at humiliation of honor, the dignity of people should not be news for the sake of sensation. “
