United States goes from Iraq: “No longer need foreign strength”

By the end of September, several divisions of the international anti-terrorist coalition, headed by the United States, will leave the territory of Iraq, said the representative of the Joint Command of the Iraq Army General Major Taxin Al-Hafadzhi.

“Three divisions of the International Coalition will leave Iraq at the end of September,” Al-Hafadzhi said, whose words led the Iraqi TV channel Rudaw. At the same time, the Major General pointed out that “Iraq no longer need foreign combat forces on its territory.”

On January 5, 2020, the Iraq Parliament adopted a resolution with the requirement of fully conclusion from the territory of the state of all foreign forces. July 26, the American president Joe Biden stated that the US military mission in Iraq will end by the end of the year, but the cooperation of the two countries in the fight against terrorism will continue.
