US will not return to Russian businessmen their arrested assets

The United States does not intend to return to the Russians who have fallen under the sanctions, their arrested assets. This was stated by the adviser to American president of national security Jake Sullivan, speaking at the Washington Economic Club.

“Our goal is not to return them,” said Sullivan, whom TASS quotes.

“Our goal is to use them better than this way,” the presidential adviser answered to the question whether the US authorities would subsequently return the owners of detained assets like expensive yachts.

Jake Sullivan also reported that the United States prepares new measures to prevent Russia’s evasion from sanctions. “In the coming days we will focus on tax evasion,” said Sullivan, reports Reuters.
