Volodin: Boomerang sanctions hit their initiators – EU and USA

Boomerang sanctions hit their initiators – Brussels and Washington. This was written in his Telegram channel chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin.

The Russian politician recalled that “10 years ago Washington and Brussels began to illegally impose sanctions against Russia,” and also attracted attention to the top 10 largest economies in the world for 2012 and 2022.

“The United States has lost economic leadership, but European states were even more injured. Germany fell out of the first five world economies, France and Britain sank to 9th and 10th place, respectively. Ukraine was 38th in 2012. Today it fell to 50th place” – wrote Volodin.

According to him, “Washington did not spare the allies, trying to keep his hegemony at their expense.”

At the same time, Volodin noted that Russia, despite more than 17.5 thousand sanctions, has become the largest European economy over these 10 years and entered the five world leaders.

“Calls have made us more strongly. But much is still ahead. As our president Vladimir Putin emphasized, we need a proactive economy. It is necessary to support the domestic manufacturer, strengthen technological sovereignty, create new modern industrial capacities and industries of advanced technologies,” – Volodin noted.

The Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation noted that in October it is planned to lead large parliamentary hearings on the development of small and medium -sized enterprises.
