Armenians fell on smuggling of gold ingots

Employees of the Vnukovo Customs stopped trying to export 225 kilograms of gold worth about 800 million rubles to Russia, the press service of the FCS of Russia.

It is noted that 45 gold merchants tried to take out six couriers abroad – citizens of Russia and Armenia. The first group of three people had to fly into Yerevan with ingots in baggage and hand luggage. The direction was not chosen by chance – Armenia is part of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and customs control in relation to passengers is not carried out.

The second group of carriers was sent to Dubai (UAE). They tried to go through the customs control zone with empty suitcases under the guise of tourists. Having met in the neutral zone of the airport, the criminals exchanged a manual treasury for the export of gold bars to Dubai, but were detained by customs officers after landing on the aircraft.
