Journalists were not allowed to court case

A court hearing was held in Baku in the criminal case of the former chairman of the municipality of the Binagadinsky district Aitaj Aliyeva and her sister Ilknur Aliyeva (Turkut) accused of fraud.

According to the Haqqin.az correspondent, the media representatives were not allowed to the hearing. According to the information received, the indictment was announced during the court session. It says that the sisters through fraud took possession of the property of several persons. Fraudsters seemed to persons who have extensive ties in the field of sale of gold jewelry. So, the accused promised in return for monetary reward to buy jewelry and sell them to senior officials at an inflated price.

The sisters did not plead guilty to the charges against them. During the trial between one of the victims and the accused, a dispute arose, and the victim was removed from the courtroom.

The trial will continue on July 5th.

Note that the sisters fraudulently took 200 manat from one citizen, the other from the other 189 thousand manat. At the same time, Aitaj Aliyev was found guilty of fake and selling land documents on behalf of the municipality of the Binagadinsky district. In the criminal case, 11 victims are held. The total amount of damage to the victims is about one million.
