The refusal to conduct the CSTO military exercises in Armenia was a mistake, expert Grigor Balasanyan told the Armenian media.
“This would allow us to leave part of the military equipment brought by the countries of the organization to the territory of Armenia. However, Pashinyan refused. I am sure that those circles that gave him such advice are well aware of what they do. They do not bother Armenia. They need it. The fact that even the Russian allies in the CSTO do not want to deal with it. And I am sure that this is the main reason for the refusal, ”Balasanyan said.
He noted that the responsibility for this decision “will have to bear the whole Armenian people.”
“The exercises will take place, but Armenia has already lost this opportunity. What will be the further reaction of Moscow – it is difficult to say. But it is unequivocally that the decision will have to answer this decision, that it cannot but bother us,” the expert said.
