Austria is held in case of Ramazan

Representatives of the Turkish community organized a festival on the occasion of the Holy month of Ramazan in the town of Hohenhams in the federal land for Forarlberg in Austria.

The event is held at the local exhibition center. On the occasion of the festival, ethnic Turks from all cities of Europe, as well as writers, musicians, animators and theater artists from Turkey, arrived at the Joenems.

The festival began with the reading of the verses from a copy of the Holy Book of Muslims-Koran. The organizers opened over 50 stands, near which the guest is acquainted with traditional arts of art in Turkey -Ebra (drawing technique on the surface of the water with subsequent transfer of the image to paper), painting on ceramics “Chini” and Calligraphy of Arabic writing – “hut”

A book fair is organized in the framework of the festival, those who wish can try traditional Turkish dishes and sweets.

On the first day of the event, the musicians performed the Ilahs (musical works related to religious texts), the Semazen show (spinning dervishes) was held

The writer Sinan Yagmur from Turkey told the Anadolu agency that he was glad to come to Austria and meet with representatives of the Turkish community in the Holy month of Ramazan, and the writer Hakan Menyug noted that he was interested to feel the atmosphere of Ramazan in Europe. “Here is a very pleasant and warm atmosphere. This is a wonderful festival,” he said.

Jacob Ozbek arrived at the event from France. “I am glad to see compatriots on such a cultural program. On the other hand, we are sad, because our brothers in the Gaza Strip suffer,” he said.

Leila Jassur, an employee of Merhaba FM – the only radio station in Austria, broadcasting 24 hours in Turkish, said she was very happy to work at the festival site.

The festival will last until April 7. On different days, within the framework of the event, famous Turkish writers Salikh Erim, Hayati Inanch and Sytki Aslankhan will sign books for those who wish.
