Azerbaijan and Turkey discussed state and development of tourist communications

The state and development of bilateral tourist relations, issues of management, regulation, promotion of tourism, education, marketing, communications and tourism products, the development of a joint activity program for the next period and other issues were discussed on December 23 at Baku at the 2nd meeting of Azerbaijano-Turkish Tourism commissions.

The meeting of the commission was chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Tourism Azada Huseynova and the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey Nadira Alpaplan.

Azad Huseynova, who spoke at the meeting, spoke about the current state of bilateral tourist relations, informed about the work done on statistical indicators and the plan of action in the field of entry and outbound tourism. She noted that in January-November of this year, Azerbaijan visited 283,493 Turkish citizens, which is 60% more compared to the same period last year.

Speaking about the importance of developing a joint action program for the next period, Azad Huseynova noted that the inclusion of the issue of expanding cooperation between associations specializing in the tourism industry in this program will contribute to the development of tourist communications between two countries.

Nadir Alpasslan, in turn, noted that successful cooperation in all areas has developed between the two countries, and that there are great opportunities for the development of ties in the field of tourism. He pointed out the importance of the exchange of experience, interaction and joint work to promote in this direction.

During the discussions, it was noted that the organization of a double diploma program between Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management, the University of Sakarya and the University of Eskishekhir Osmangazi in Turkey, as well as programs for advanced training and training in tourism professions will have a positive impact on cooperation in the field tourist education.

As part of the meeting, topics such as standardization and certification in connection with the organization of high-quality tourism, the study of cooperation in order to promote tourist and recreational complexes, conduct an exchange of experience in creating tourism and recreational zones and infrastructure projects, Investment projects on the territories of Azerbaijan exacerbated from the occupation.
