Azerbaijan begins to vaccinate third dose

The Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan, the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance and the Association on the Management of Medical Territorial Divisions made a joint statement.

As reported by HaqQin.Az in the press service of the Ministry of Health, in accordance with the “Vaccination strategy against COVID-19 in the Republic of Azerbaijan at 2021-2022”, the process of vaccination in the country continues. According to the results of the latest scientific research, it is recommended that all 2 doses of vaccine against COVID-19 are all health workers, people over 60 years old and citizens with a weak immune system were vaccinated by a third dose (“booster” dose).

To take an online version of the vaccination against coronavirus disease, you need to go to the site https://randevu.its.gov.az and use the electronic service “Purpose of the COVID-19 vaccine”.

The statement notes that the validity of the “certificate of vaccination” remains unchanged, and the introduction of a third dose (“booster” dose) does not affect its duration. Analysis of the results of studies conducted in the world and in Azerbaijan once again shows that the most effective way to protect against new and rapidly propagating dangerous types of virus is vaccination.

Also, in addition to vaccination, such rules must be respected as compliance with the physical distance, the use of masks and hand hygiene.
