Azerbaijani children from orphanage in Turkey brought home

Four children – citizens of Azerbaijan, who were in the children’s home of the city of Iskenderun in the province of Hatay in the south of Turkey, were repatriated on October 9 to their homeland, the Ministry of Foreign Azerbaijan reports.

As stated in the report of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the children were brought to Azerbaijan as a result of phased measures taken by the Azerbaijani government. First of all, the location, personality and citizenship of Azerbaijan of the repatriated children were determined. Then, representatives of the respective state structures of Iraq and Syria were sent to Turkey, which are included in the working group on the repatriation of citizens of Azerbaijan. They conducted a preliminary medical and psychological examination of children and provided them with the necessary assistance. After that, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Turkey provided children “Certificates for Return to the Republic of Azerbaijan” and air tickets. The children returned to their homeland by Ankara Baku, accompanied by the Azerbaijani delegation.

The Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan provides all necessary measures for their reintegration and rehabilitation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is noted.

“It should be especially the assistance provided to the Republic of Turkish republic in the implementation of this process,” they emphasized in the department.
