Causes of mass poisoning by doner in center of Baku

Food Safety Agency Azerbaijan has announced the results of the inspection conducted in connection with the poisoning that occurred on December 12, 2021 in the Dönər Market Restaurant.

As reported by HaqQin.az in the agency, after receipt of information about the incident, specialists of the department immediately took samples of food from this restaurant and transferred to the appropriate laboratory.

“As a result of laboratory studies in food samples, intestinal wand, proteins and clostridia were found. Thus, it became known that the products were subjected to secondary contamination in the process of processing. As a result of non-compliance with the staff of the norms of general hygiene, the disinfection regime, as well as the rules of personal The hygiene occurred contamination of both food and equipment.

This fact once again indicates the importance of compliance with sanitary and hygienic standards and rules for food processing. The arrival of said microflora in the body with food products causes nausea, vomiting, pain, weakness and diarrhea, “the agency says.

Also during the investigation, it was found that the restaurant operates without registration of food safety, and employees of the enterprise work without periodic medical examinations, do not conduct anti-pest measures (disinfection, disinsection and deratization).

“Information on the results of the investigation was transferred to law enforcement agencies to give a legal assessment of the incident,” the report.

Recall that earlier in December, the doner poisoning occurred at the Dönər Market Restaurant, located near the 28 Mall shopping center. During the day in the clinical medical center No. 1, 8 people were recorded with signs of poisoning.
