Czech Republic announced presence of strategic oil reserves

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Joseph Sicel, on his Twitter page, commented on a stop of oil supply at the Druzhba pipeline, declaring the presence of strategic oil reserves, which will be enough for 90 days.

“The following days will show whether it is a further escalation of the energy war on the part of the Russian Federation or the technical problem with payment. Mero has such operational oil reserves that will allow us to compensate for the loss of supplies to at least the second half of August,” said he said Minister.

He also added that the republic has strategic fuel reserves, which should be enough for about 90 days. According to him, at present, the authorities do not plan to activate them.
