Denmark did not agree with terms of Russia: “The contract is not spelled out”

The leading Danish energy company Ørsted (“Ersted”) refuses to pay for gas from Russia in rubles, reports Bloomberg.

According to information, Gazprom Export continues to demand payment from Ørsted payment in rubles, however, the Danish company emphasized that the contract with Gazprom does not spell on the method of payment in rubles. “The deadline for payment is May 31, and Ørsted will continue to pay in the euro. Thus, there is a risk that Gazprom Export will stop supplying gas Ørsted. In our understanding, this will be a violation of the contract,” the report said Ørsted.
