Erdogan changed head of Ministry of Finance

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed a decree appointing a new Minister of Finance and Treasury. Document published in the official government messenger RESMI GAZETE.

According to Decree, the head of the department of Lutfi Elvan filed a resignation, and the Minister approved Nuzreddin Nebaty, who before that was the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Finance.

On November 23, the Turkish Lira rate fell by 8%, before the record 12.49 in relation to the dollar, after the statement of Erdogan about the intention to win his “Economic War for Independence.”
