Turkish Togg electric car – the next technological success of our country – from design to software and environmental innovations. This was stated by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking at the ceremony of laying the foundation of the enterprise for the production of batteries for electric vehicles on Monday in the western province of Bursa.
According to him, a new enterprise that is built in the partnership of the initiative group “Turkish cars” and the Chinese energy company Farasis will make an important contribution to the promotion of domestic electric vehicles.
“The global market of electric vehicles is expanding, and to strengthen the positions on it, it is also necessary to be in the leaders of the development of batteries,” Erdogan emphasized.
The head of state noted that the spectrum of areas in which the batteries produced in the Turkish Bource will be used wide and is not limited to the auto industry.
Erdogan said that on the project of an enterprise with an area of 607 thousand square meters. m. 30 billion investments will be spent.
The new plant will be located in the immediate vicinity of the Togg Automobile Plant in Bursa. The commissioning is scheduled for the end of 2024. By 2031, the capacity of the enterprise is planned to be brought to a mark of 20 GW.
