Hockey in nature: Lake Chylder in northeast of Turkey has become field for hockey players

hockey, which is one of the most popular sports in the world, in particular in North America and Northern Europe, in recent years began to attract Turkish inhabitants.

Hockey players who came from Istanbul to draw attention to this sport, played on the frozen lakes of Chyldir.

Athletes enjoyed playing hockey on natural ice.

Athlete of the hockey team of the municipality Zayitinburn Samet Sayali told Anadolu that he arrived from Istanbul to see the lake of Chylder, whose surface is completely covered with ice.

“When we first came to the lake, it was very snowy, but later it became beautiful. It is a little heavy, but we play hockey with pleasure,” he said.

Sayaly said that the field on Lake Chyldir looks like a training site.

“This is my first such experience. To slide on natural ice is very fun, we fall from time to time, but this is natural. The best thing is that the ice is unlimited. I recommend it to everyone. It is very beautiful here,” he said.

Hockey player Death Sayali also said that they like to ride an ice field that has no boundaries.

“It is very nice to play on natural ice on Lake Chyldir. For us, this is a new experience, I recommend it all,” Sayali said, explaining that he was rolled on natural ice for the first time.

He drew attention to the size of the field. “There is a completely different atmosphere, there are no restrictions. You can ride as much as you want. This is a very large territory, I will say to everyone. We will come with a large number of people next year,” Sayaly said.
