Ilham Aliyev laid foundations of new villages in Karabakh

On October 16, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev made a trip to the Fizuli district of the Karabakh region of the Republic.

The head of the Azerbaijani state took part in the laying ceremony of the foundation of the village of Juvarla.

The designed total area of ​​Juvarla is 115 hectares. It is planned to resettle 1697 people to the village. In general, 291 private houses and 21 two-four-story residential buildings will be built here. For the first stage of the construction of the village, a land plot with an area of ​​28.1 hectares was allocated, on which 129 private houses will be built. At this stage, 129 families are planned to be relocated to the village – 508 people.

Ilham Aliyev also laid down the foundation of the village of Gochakhmedli. The head of state was informed of the upcoming work in the village.

The designed total area of ​​the village of Gochakhmedli is 94.62 hectares. The village provides for 1364 people. It is planned to build a 341 private house here. For the first stage of the construction of the village, a land plot with an area of ​​18.1 hectares was allocated, where 204 private houses will be built. At this stage, 204 families – 710 people are provided to the village.

Fizulinsky district was released from the occupation on October 17, 2020 as a result of hostilities conducted by the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan during the 44-day Patriotic War.

Armenian armed groups occupied the Fizulinsky district in August 1993 during the First Karabakh war.

Fizuli was destroyed by Armenian forces and for 27 years turned into ruins.
