Azerbaijan’s armed forces occupied the 63rd place in the Global FirePower InDex 2021 rating of the most powerful world armies, including 140 countries.
From neighboring countries, Georgia is located on the 92nd, and Armenia is the 100th position.
The most powerful army of the world, according to the rating, is the US Army, in second place – Russia, the third – China, the fourth – India, Fifth – Japan.
Pakistan – the tenth best army of the world, Turkey – 11th.
When drawing up the rating, quantitative indicators and the power of aviation, armored vehicles, naval forces, and so on were taken into account. In addition, natural resources, labor, transport and logistics opportunities are taken into account. An important place is allocated to the sizes of the military budget, foreign debt, currency reserves of the country and its purchasing power.
