“Azerbaijani-Italian connections are traditionally friendly and built on a very strong basis.” This was said by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov at a briefing held after meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic Luigi Di Mayo.
J. Baires noted that for 30 years, Azerbaijani-Italian relations, successfully developing, reached the level of strategic cooperation and partnership. High-level mutual visits play a large role in the development of ties between the two countries.
The head of the foreign policy also stressed that during the Pandemic period of Coronavirus Italy and Azerbaijan provided each other friendly support.
The Minister recalled that Azerbaijan helped Italy’s hospitals when a high level of infection was recorded in this country.
“When in Azerbaijan there was a high level of morbidity, specialists from Italy came to our country and provided support. The friendly position of Italy manifested itself in this,” said Bayramov.
