Journalists did not let trial of General Rovshan Akperov

The lawsuit continues in Baku on the appeal of Lieutenant General Romanov Akperov, accused of killing a 20-year-old limitation of Azerbaijani businessman in Ukraine and a sentenced by the Baku Military Court by 10 years of imprisonment, reports Haqqin.az.

It is noteworthy that at the open court hearing, chaired by Judge of the Baku Court of Appeal, Ilgar Mourgusov did not allow representatives of the press. Currently, the trial that planned to be open is carried out “in closed mode.”

Note that by the decision of the Baku Court of Grave Crimes, Rovshan Akpers was sentenced to 10 years in prison with serving a sentence in a strict regime colony.

General was incriminated to the killing of Azerbaijani businessman Elchin Aliyev, he was accused of article 12.1, 120.2.2 (intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. The crime occurred on June 1, 2001 in the city of Kiev.

At the same time, the court partially satisfied the lawsuit of the victim, obliging R. Akperova to pay 40 thousand manat as a compensation for the morale damage to the legal heir to the murdered – Fadavia Aliyev.
