Russia is the main weapon supplier for Armenia, but some types of weapons should be purchased in other countries, the deputy head of the Permanent Parliamentary Commission on Defense and Security of Armenia Armen Khachatryan told reporters.
“The best testing weapon takes place during the war. We saw a 44-day war, we observe the hostilities in Ukraine, in Syria, and our experts know well what weapons are needed. Of course, Russian weapons are the main part of our arsenal, there is, there is, there is A good weapon that justifies itself. But some weapons need to be bought in other countries, ”Khachatryan said.
In particular, according to him, we are talking about the means of protection against drones.
Khachatryan added that the process of acquiring weapons is actively, with a number of states, intensive discussions are underway on this topic.
