Lithuania was called to start negotiations on European integration of Ukraine as soon as possible

The Foreign Minister of Lithuania Gabrielus Landsbergis called for negotiations on the entry of Ukraine to the EU as soon as possible, Lithuanian national radio and television LRT.

“Ukraine has already completed its homework by implementing the recommendations related to the start of negotiations with the EU – we need to evaluate this accordingly, starting negotiations on the entry as soon as possible,” Landsbergis said at a meeting of the EU external relations.

According to the minister, the time has come to erase the red lines and take decisive actions if there is really a desire to “change Russia’s calculations.”

“We must plan the specific measures necessary for the victory of Ukraine. The initiative of Macron, as well as the Czech initiative to ammunition, which Lithuania joined, are inspiring examples,” said the head of the department.

The Lithuanian Foreign Ministry also reported that the UPS-Chapter Chapters approved the decision to create a support fund for Ukraine as part of the European world.
