The investigation into the criminal case on the fact of the death of Azerbaijani border guards was entrusted to the investigative department of the General Prosecutor’s Office, the head of the press service of the supervisory department of Gunay Salimzade was reported.
Social report, as directed by the leadership of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the investigation in the criminal case in connection with the death of employees of the State Border Guard Service of the GPS and the smuggling of narcotic substances was entrusted with the investigative management of the supervisory department.
Recall, on May 15, at around 16:00, three unknown persons violated the state border of Azerbaijan near the village of Gender of the Yardimlinsky district in the area of the Geytepe of the Border Guide of the GPS. Violators, without obeying the legitimate requirements of border guards, opened fire on them. As a result, Senior Lieutenant Samir Elmar Oglu Evazov and Junior Sergeant Farid Elchin Oglu Alimov were injured. The servicemen were immediately delivered to the medical institution, but they failed to save their lives. The Military Prosecutor’s Office opened a criminal case under articles 120.2.1, 206.3.2, 234.4.1, 234.4.3, 318.1 and other articles of Azerbaijan. During the inspection of the scene, 3,840 grams of marijuana, 95 grams of methamphetamine, 17,715 pills of pregabalin, sleeves from firearms and other material evidence were found and removed. Intensive investigative and operational-search measures are held to establish and attracting other crime participants.
