Yesterday, December 22, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev adopted a delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran by Hossaine Amir Abdollahian.
During the meeting, the head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that the President of the Islamic Republic of Ibrahim Raisi re-invited Ilham Aliyev to visit Tehran, Iran’s media wrote.
“At the recent meeting, which you spent in Ashgabat, Mr. President (Ibrahim Raisi – Ed.) Invited your Excellency to visit Tehran. He asked me to give you his invitation again,” said Abdollahian, appealing to the head of the Azerbaijani state.
Iranian Foreign Minister noted that the meeting of President Ilham Aliyev and President Ibragima Raisi in Ashgabat was a turning point in relations between the two countries.
