Russia announced opening of humanitarian corridor for ships from Mariupol

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the discovery on Wednesday, May 25, the humanitarian corridor for the safe exit of foreign ships from the port of Mariupol in the direction of the Black Sea.

“For the safe exit of foreign ships from the port of Mariupol from 08:00 on May 25, a humanitarian corridor with a length of 115 miles and a width of 2 miles in the direction of the Black Sea is organized,” said Mikhail Misintsev, head of the National Center for the Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to him, as a result of a set of measures carried out by the forces of the Russian Navy, a mine danger was eliminated in the water area of ​​the port Mariupol.

“In six ports – Kherson, Nikolaev, Chernomorsk, Ochakov, Odessa and South – 70 foreign ships from 16 states remain blocked,” he said.

Misovtsev said that the Russian armed forces on the Black Sea coast daily from 08:00 to 19:00 in Moscow open a humanitarian corridor with a length of 80 miles and a width of 3 miles.
