State Duma deputy Mikhail Sheremet proposed partially to remove the moratorium on the death penalty during the war in Ukraine, Russian media reports.
In his opinion, the highest measure of punishment should be used in relation to war criminals.
“I consider it necessary for the period of” special military operation “to remove the moratorium on the death penalty for war criminals in order to deprive them of the opportunity to avoid the punitive hand of justice, – said Sheremet.
