Turkey extends travel restrictions

The Turkish authorities have maintained restrictions on those arriving in the country, extending the deadline for requiring a negative coronavirus test. This is reported by Turkish media.

Anyone arriving in Turkey must present a negative result of a PCR test done 72 hours before the trip. This requirement will be valid until April 15, 2021.

It is noted that tourists who do not provide a negative PCR test result will not be allowed to fly. “The requirement does not apply to transit and transfer passengers,” the message says.

Earlier it was reported that the tourist season in the resorts of Turkey in the context of the coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions imposed against it will begin in April 2021. Minister of Culture and Tourism of the country Mehmet Nuri Ersoy stressed that the season will open earlier on the Antalya coast, later – in the resorts of the Aegean Sea. Moreover, the main flow of visitors is expected from Russia, then travelers from Great Britain will join them.
