The National Intelligence Organization of Turkey (Mi̇t) neutralized a particularly dangerous terrorist of the RKK Jahit Aktai, who was preparing an armed attack in the Pençe-Kielit operation zone.
According to sources in the Turkish security forces, the militant under the code name “Hussein Piran” was in the terrorist list of persons looking for in Turkey (Orange category). Among the crimes of the Aktoy -the planning of the attack in the province of Shirnak in 2016, as a result of which three military personnel and two guards died.
As a result of many years of intelligence work, the location of the terrorist was established. Aktai, who arrived with the militants to the Pençe-Kilit operation zone for the transfer of weapons and ammunition, was neutralized during the Operation “Point”, organized by Turkish special services.
The militant joined the ranks of the RSC in 2008, from 2009 to 2012 he was engaged in terrorist activities in the Kandil region in the north of Iraq.
In 2015, the militant was appointed “responsible for the logistics activities” of the RSC in the Kato area. In 2018, he headed the unit in the Iraqi district of Makhmur, and in 2019 he began to be responsible for the finances and logistics of the RSC in the Metin region.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan previously stated that since 1984, when the militants of the RSC for the first time carried out a terrorist attack in Turkey, thousands of employees of Turkish security forces, military and civilians died at the hands of this bloody organization.
The United States and the European Union introduced RKK to the lists of terrorist organizations.
In recent years, the RSC seeks to shift responsibility for bloody crimes in the region to its branches.
In Syria, the RKK terrorists are covered by the names Pyd and YPG, and in the last two years they call themselves “Syrian democratic forces.”
In Iran, RSC acts as “Party of Free Life of Kurdistan” (pjak).
