UAE and Qatar resume work of embassies

The United Arab Emirates and Qatar decided to open the diplomatic departments of the two countries.

According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry of the UAE, the Emirates since June 19 restore the work of the embassy in Doha, and Qatar – the embassy in Abu Dabi and the consulate in Dubai.

The decision was made on the basis of an agreement reached at the Cooperation Cooperation Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Persian Gulf (SSAGPZ), which took place in Al-Ula in 2021, the message said.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt on June on June 2017 announced the breakdown of diplomatic relations with the milk and announced sanctions against Qatar, accusing the “support of terrorist groups.” Qatar resolutely denied the prosecution.

The situation led to a crisis in the Persian Gulf region, which was regulated only on January 5, 2021 as part of the 41st SSAGPZ summit.
