The US is considering the possibility of sending a party to Ukraine to Ukraine Stryker’s military armored vehicles in preparation for the expected Russian offensive. It is reported by Politico with reference to its sources.
According to the publication, the US administration may announce a new assistance package at the end of next week. Whether Stryker will be included in this package is still unknown, since the final decision has not yet been made. At the same time, the interlocutors of the newspaper emphasized that the administration can send these armored personnel carriers with the next package.
In early January, it became known about the US intention to put 50 Bradley combat vehicles in Ukraine. Compared to them, Stryker armored vehicles are not so effective in battle, but have some other advantages. Politico notes that Stryker is moving quieter than Bradley, and can also transport more soldiers – nine against six.
