Poland throws an additional thousand military to the border with Belarus. This was reported by the Ministry of National Defense of Poland.
“In connection with the dynamic situation on the Polish-Belarusian border and a request from the commandant of the border service to strengthen participation in the security of the border, the Minister of National Defense instructed to fulfill the request and send additional troops,” the message said.
Earlier, on August 7, the Poland’s border service asked to additionally transfer another 1000 military personnel to the border with Belarus. The request sounded against the backdrop of fears that Minsk could again provoke the next influx of migrants not by the border.
