“New Astronomical Station will be built in Karabakh in the near future.” This was stated by the executive director of the Shamaki Astrophysical Observatory, Professor Nariman Ismailov.
According to him, the leadership of the National Academy of Sciences supported the construction proposal in the Karabakh astronomical station, the installation of modern robotic telescopes and the creation of the Central Space Polygon Observatory to study the Earth through satellite observations.
“This work will be an important step in the transformation of the Shamakhinka Astrophysical Observatory to the International Scientific Center for the Study of the Middle and Far Cosmos,” said Ismailov.
