Baltic states offered new sanctions against Russia

Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia proposed the European Commission for their options for sanctions against Russia for the eighth package. This was stated by the Foreign Minister of Estonia Urmas Reinsalu, reports Welt.

“We, at least, want it (the eighth package of sanctions- ed.) To be accepted as early as possible. We have already submitted specific proposals on this issue. We are talking about energy, trade, further restrictions on SWIFT systems, as well as to bring even more people and organizations to the sanctions lists, ”the minister said.

In parallel with this, the Baltic countries are working on the closure of the Schengen zone for Russians at the pan -European level. Estonia has already closed the entrance to the republic for Russians with Estonian Schengen visas.
