Today, the Minister of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan Madat Guliyev adopted a delegation led by Deputy Chairman of the Defense Industry Committee of the Turkish Republic Mustafa Murata Shekeker. This Haqqin.az reported in the press service of the Ministry of Defense Industry.
According to the information, during the meeting, the current state and the prospects for the further development of relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey in the military-technical sphere were discussed, an exchange of views took place on other issues of mutual interest.
Madat Guliyev informed the guests that the Ministry of Defense Industry was established in 2005 on the personal initiative of President Ilham Aliyev, a decent successor of the National Heydar Aliyev leader, to maintain a high level of combat readiness of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan. Noting that Azerbaijan and Turkey, as in many other areas, are constantly working closely in the military-technical sphere, the minister stressed that during the 44-day Patriotic War, the fraternal country was near our state, and the moral and political support provided by Turkey , played a big role in our great victory. The minister also noted that the friendly relations of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a great contribution to the development of relations between the two countries.
At the meeting, there were broad discussions on issues of mutual interest in the field of military industry, including the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation to establish more effective links in the future.
