Iran is building a large auxiliary ship

The Corps of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution (KSIR) is building a new large auxiliary vessel near the Strait of the Ormuzian Strait, the Associated Press reports citing satellite images at its disposal.

According to the agency, the construction of this vessel “will provide a CSIR with a large floating base with which you can manage small high -speed boats that mainly make up its fleet to counteract the US Navy and their allies in the region.”

The publication also recalls that Iran is currently attempts to strengthen its presence in regional waters that play an “extremely important role for international energy supplies.” According to the agency, the new ship will become a modification of the Iranian container ship Sarvin.
